As I take this step
A step towards a goal I do not understand
A step from somewhere I think I understand
There is only a step
One step
An action small in now and big in then
I have cried
Cried for you in me
Cried for the past, the present and the future
I have wept and I have sung
I have cried from joy and cried from sadness
Despair and hope coexist in unity
For I give to you my present
So I may never go back to my past
And I may receive my future
