Blinding sunlight

Every time a sunray hits polished metal a flash occurs
A flash that blinds the eyes
That echoes in the ears
As if the vibrations of the warm metal in the sun
Resonate in the side of my brain
This time the metal lay there silently
Shining in the sun
No flash, no little twinkle, no reflection of a burst
No warm feeling, no rush
It is like the world shifted
Decided to start moving another direction
Everything that was has gone
Everything that is has been
All that time all that was all here
In me
Quietly mumbling along
Telling me truths about things I do not know and will never see
Every time a sunray hits polished metal a choice occurs
My metal is shifting
