Tiny particles falling like snow from a round cap
Snow that hangs in the air, still for a moment
Almost unmoving it exuberates a glow
A stand alone
Never noticed but always seen by passers-by
Providing sight for all those who only sigh
It’s a play of fireflies moving from one light to the next
Transforming face, shadow, face, shadow
Light my path street light
May you stand where I may go
That I may seek your glow
Be my signpost, my fire in the shade
I ask you street light
Will you snow on me
Dark or sweet night?
